Sherhara Downing is the co-founder and Chief Visionary Officer of SpeakHaus, which offers asynchronous leadership communication coaching and training for leaders and their teams. On a mission to make communication and connection effortless, she and her team are dedicated to nurturing influential communicators in business, those who lead and collaborate with confidence and authenticity.
With over 17 years of coaching and corporate training experience, Sherhara has elevated the communication skills of leaders from companies like Under Armour, Capital One, Toyota, AT&T and more.
Celebrated for her hosting and moderating savvy, Sherhara is beautifully skillful at simultaneously engaging audiences, edifying speakers and extracting value for all to benefit. Her personal mission is to make human interaction and connection effortless. She loves tacos, throws amazing parties and remains the world-leading subject matter expert of the cult classic, Coming to America!
Meet our Keynote Speaker
With over 20 years of experience in pediatric nursing and leadership, Dr. Heidi Thompson is an expert in improving patient care and nurse retention. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from UT Health San Antonio and a Master’s in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Currently, Dr. Thompson serves as the Assistant Clinical Director for the Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Texas Children's Hospital – The Woodlands. Her leadership
has led to significant improvements in staffing, quality of care, and patient outcomes. She is a recognized leader in the neonatal nursing community and has presented at numerous national conferences on topics related to nurse education and quality improvement.
